Just a little bit information about
LOVE to share today because I found it very interesting. and I can sambil having my revision too! hehe.
Okay, first of all, there are 3 main components in
LOVE. They are known as intimacy, passion and commitment.
INTIMACY refers to a couple's closeness, to their mutual concern and sharing of feelings and resources.
PASSION refers to romance and sexual feelings.
COMMITMENT means deciding to enhance and maintain the relationship.
Okay now. These 3 very important components give rise to 7 types of
LOVE.
LIKING - Comprised of intimacy alone. It is true friendship without passion and long-term commitment.
EMPTY LOVE - Comprised of commitment alone. Empty love is only the commitment to remain together without passion or intimacy.
INFATUATION LOVE - Comprised of passion alone. It is passionate, obsessive love at first sight without intimacy or commitment.
COMPANIONATE LOVE - The combination of intimacy and commitment. It is a long-term committed friendship such as a marriage in which the passion has faded.
FATUOUS LOVE - The combination of commitment and passion. It is commitment based on passion but without time for intimacy to develop. For example, whirlwind relationship.
ROMANTIC LOVE - The combination of intimacy and passion. The lovers physically and emotionally attracted to each other but without commitment, as in a summer romance.
and lastly,
CONSUMMATE LOVE - The ideal form of love combining intimacy, passion and commitment.
